Frigate Chapter Three: Gun Deck Bulwarks

December 8th, 2007

I was a little surprised at the wood choice for the next stage as it is the same wood used for the inner planking layer of the outer hull. I considered briefly the possibility of painting the plank red before gluing to prevent paint getting on the deck when painted but having searched the instructions thoroughly could not find any reference to this section being painted. You would have to consider the chance of any of this actually getting seen.

The planks were easy enough to place though sanding was a bugger between the bulkheads and the upper plank between these did not have much to hold onto and so is at risk at later stages of between knocked out of place when the outer hull is being concentrated on.

Next Up 1st Planking

Current Build
